The presenter will discuss the general principles for fluid therapy in equine critical care cases. Topics will include types of fluids, rate and volume of administration, goals and end points, and safety limits. Additionally, the physiologic parameters of fluid compartments will be assessed including total body water, extracellular fluid, and intracellular fluid.
