This session addresses the critical “watchouts” in both canine and feline diabetes and how to manage them without disrupting overall treatment success. Participants will learn how to recognize and treat diabetic ketoacidosis in cats, manage common side effects associated with sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, and identify key comorbidities in insulin-treated dogs. Emphasis is placed on early intervention and proactive strategies to maintain stability and support long-term outcomes.
