Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) remains one of the most common conditions that practitioners encounter with senior feline patients. This session will take an in-depth look at new ways of managing feline CKD, including new insights on the gut-kidney axis, nutrition and hydration management, and strategies to manage hypertension, anemia, and proteinuria. Attendees will walk away equipped with techniques to practice nutritional evaluation and create nutritional support plans; medical management strategies for CKD; and ideas on how to tailor their approach for each patient and caregiver.
